About the Series
Grindhouse at the Firehouse is a monthly series that screens all the cult, horror, art-house, samurai, kung-fu and very weird movies film buffs love! Presented by the Midnite Romero Society and hosted at ātac: downtown arts + music, and is programmed by cinephiles for cinephiles!
About the Midnite Romero Society
Founded in 2017, Midnite Romero Society began as a group of film buffs who wanted to celebrate the life and work of George A. Romero. Yet, as one meeting turned into another, our community grew and we found ourselves making pins, printing tee shirts, hosting public screenings and spreading a passion for cult cinema as well as keeping the memory of the late director undead!
Currently, M.R.S works with multiple non-profit groups to build and host their own film programs. We are always in search of new organizations and venues that would like assistance in creating a series. If you’re interested in collaborating with M.R.S., please don’t hesitate to reach out via their Contact Page and if you love cult cinema then please check out their Events Calendar to see their upcoming screenings!
